Plot
The story begins aboard a Japanese Hell Ship transporting prisoners of war. Among them is Saito, a disgraced Japanese soldier, and Bronson, a British POW. They are chained together as punishment. When the ship is attacked by Allied submarines, the two men are thrown into the ocean.
